The 2013 Annual Conference of the International Society for Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity (ISBNPA) will be held on 22-25 May 2013, in Ghent, Belgium.

The 2013 ISBNPA Annual Conference is an opportunity to learn about behavioural nutrition and physical activity, interact with starting and experienced researchers, and gain new insight into innovations in research, policy and practice.

The conference includes presentations, debates and interactive workshops. Invited speakers include:

  • Professor Anita Jansen, professor of Experimental Clinical Psychology at the Maastricht University, the Netherlands;
  • Professor Tim Lang, Professor of Food Policy at the City University, UK;
  • Professor Ruth Loos, Professor and Director of the Genetics of Obesity and Related Metabolic Traits Program, at the Mount Sinai School of MedicineUSA;
  • Professor Simon Marshall, Associate Professor at the Center for Wireless and Populations Health Systems at the University of California, USA;
  • Professor John J Reilly, Professor of Physical Activity and Public Health Science at the University of Strathclyde, UK;
  • Professor Maarten Vansteenkiste, Professor at the Department of Developmental, Personality and Social Psychology, at the Gent University, Belgium.

The ISBNPA meeting provides a forum to discuss and debate the influences of nutrition and physical activity, and strategies to promote healthy eating and physical activity in a population health context. ISBNPA has members from all over the world and the Annual Conference provides an important opportunity for interaction, networking and sharing of the latest research in the field.
