2013 Gothia Cup Qualifier set for Kitwe
(BCSA) in partnership with SKF Zambia will host the 2013 Gothia Cup qualifiers on the Copperbelt in Kitwe. Through the Project BCSA and SKF are contributing to inspiring, empowering young girls as well as developing girls football at grassroots level.
The event will bring together 8 Football teams from Lusaka, Ndola and Kitwe. The team will play in a two day tournament with the winners being guaranteed to spot to play in the 2013 Gothia Cup in Sweden this summer.The aim of the Gothia Cup is to create a meeting place for young people regardless of gender, social background, culture, skin colour or religion.
The tournaments are held in all countries where SKF has presence including Zambia. The local SKF Business units organise the tournaments where teams compete and the final winning team is sponsored to compete with other winning teams in Sweden. SKF Zambia has partnered once again with BCSA to host the tournament that will bring over about 150 girls, 20 coaches and 20 event organizers. The tournament will be held at Raverns Country Club right in the heart of Kitwe.
