30/30 – Sports as a Tool for Advocacy and Development Webinar
The event will be held on 25 February at 1:00 PM EST/10:00 AM PST. American Sign Language (ASL) and CART will be provided. All are welcome!
Our ninety-minute online event will focus on how Article 30 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), participation in cultural life, recreation, leisure and sport, and Goal 11 of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable has been used to elevate the conversations on the need for the inclusion of disabled people’s advocacy and education in all developments opportunities and how you can support wider efforts.
The panel will be facilitated by USICD’s Vice President, Candace Cable, and Karin Korb, Lakeshore Foundation Policy and Public Affairs Coordinator.
