4th Commonwealth Sports Development Conference

The conference will take place in Glasgow from 12-13 August, with a central theme of "Empowering the Youth of the Commonwealth."

Empowering the Youth of the Commonwealth
The 2013 Conference programme puts Youth centre stage and will provide a vehicle for the development of a "Youth Sport Charter" which will serve as a call to action for Commonwealth and sporting agencies, building on the "Commonwealth Plan of Action for Youth Empowerment."

The Conference will feature high profile speakers from the world of sport, and sport for development and explore the links between the two. There will be two key sub-programmes:

Disability Sport and Young People

Girls and Young Women in Sport.
