The 4th Inas Global Games 2015
The Inas Global Games – a week long championship – attract more than 700 of the world’s best athletes with an intellectual disability.
The Inas Global Games are the world’s largest elite sporting event for athletes with an intellectual disability, featuring competition in athletics, swimming, table tennis, rowing, basketball, futsal, tennis and cycling. The first games were held in Bollnäs, Sweden in 2004 with 1000 athletes in attendance from over 40 countries. The 2015 global games will take place in Ecuador marking the first time the event will have been held outside of Europe, following Sweden, Czech Republic and Italy. Australia remains the country to beat as its athletes scored the highest amount of gold and total medals in the last two global games.
