TAFISA is hosting an online workshop to highlight how open public spaces can be built into active spaces.

When: 11 May 2021, 13:00 - 15:00 (UTC +2)

Hosted in partnership with the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IAKS) and Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), the Workshop “Active Spaces: Fostering Active Communities”, the second in our Mission 2030 Workshop Series, will emphasise the importance of local action in the fight against physical inactivity and how we can effectively leverage open and public spaces to promote physical activity participation and strengthen social ties within the community.

Speakers from different backgrounds will introduce what it means to build active spaces, share good practices, and provide directions on how the urban environment and the way citizens evolve in it can be sustainably reshaped to offer safe, welcoming, accessible, and inclusive opportunities for people to be physically active and connect with each other.
