Beyond Sport Summit 2014: A festival of innovation and insight

This year our flagship event, the Beyond Sport Global Summit and Awards, will take place at the Nike Centre in the heart of Soweto.

In honour of the late Nelson Mandela, the focus will be on the potential of young people and the future leaders that they will become – in sport, business, politics and, most importantly, in driving social change. We will deliver a festival of innovation, insight and inspiration, exploring the ways in which sport can be used to tackle the key issues that are prevalent in today’s society through the creation of pathways and opportunities towards healthier, socially inclusive and financially secure lives.

Through a tailored programme of activity sessions, in-depth workshops and main stage panels, held over two days, we will celebrate existing efforts of a local and global community of changemakers and create a new vision of the future with an event that will support, empower and inspire the next generation of young leaders, on and off the field.
