Disabled women in sport and physical activity: Best practice and steps forward
The conference aims to provide stimulating insight for those who are not yet fully equipped to deliver disabled women in sport and physical activity projects, and also aims to confirm the thoughts of those who are experienced in this domain.
For a significant period of time, disabled women have encountered insurmountable challenges, barriers, disability and gender issues on a daily basis. Opportunities for disabled women to participate in sport and physical activity remain less than disabled men and considerably less than non-disabled women.
In order to address this inequality, Interactive’s conference will look at best practice examples of engaging and including disabled women in sport and physical activity, and identify effective steps forward from both strategic and practical viewpoints.
