Panel discussion: So you're starting a Diversity Committee?

When: 18 November 2021, 5pm GMT

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion becoming increasingly important for all levels of governance to consider in order to ensure safer spaces for all participants to curl. One step is to form DEI committees tasked with how to make the organizations more inclusive and mandate diversity amongst members, volunteers, and leadership.

In this webinar, the panel will focus on what needs to be in place for the committee's work to be successful. We will discuss the do’s and don’ts of forming committees, ways to help ensure success, and the necessity of supports for the committee to have real impact at the club level, and for curling cultures more broadly.

Panelists: Sabena Islam (United We Curl), Sarah Benkirane (Phd C), Dr. Richard Norman.
Moderator: Dr. Heather Mair.
