The eleventh edition of the East Africa Cup: a youth sport, education and cultural event which also gathers sport and development practitioners and leaders for workshops and seminars.

The eleventh East Africa Cup will take place in Moshi, Tanzania, in June 2014. The East Africa Cup (EAC) is a youth sport, education and cultural event for boys and girls aged 11-16 years; it also gathers sport and development practitioners and leaders from across East Africa and internationally for workshops and seminars.

The aims are varied but include promoting the health and wellbeing of young people and inspiring youth to become change makers in their communities.

Teams need to be committed to fair play, and the tournament welcomes teams from all tribal and religious groups. Approximately half of all participants are female, and young players must commit to daily education sessions. If this you would like to be involved or for further information, please email [email protected] for further application details.

The tournament is organised by: Norwegian Peoples Aid (NPA), KRIK Norway, CHRISC East Africa and Mathare Youth Sports Association (MYSA).
