Location

About the event

Academics, professionals and sports leaders will meet in Aalborg, Denmark, to share the best and latest in the field of sport management. The conference is divided into a professional programme and a master student seminar, which are expected to attract hundreds of sport management-interested people to Aalborg.

The Danish sports sector is extremely dynamic with a tradition of volunteering and high participation in grassroots sports, a booming commercial fitness and golf sector, and an increasing number of professional leagues, clubs and elite athletes.

Research and education in sport management are undergoing a rapid development. The traditional voluntary sports sector is increasingly challenged by commercial operators and new patterns in sports participation, consumer behaviour and media habits. This development is reflected in the broad range of conference topics. The EASM Conference in Aalborg 2012 will be your opportunity to discuss the most important issues and exchange research and knowledge about sport management.

Play The Game will also facilitate a special symposium on current challenges in sport at the EASM Conference.
