Neva Foundation and Sport for Life Foundation organise a conference on sport for personal development on 25 March in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Neva Foundation and the Sport for Life Foundation host a Russian night in Geneva, Switzerland on 25 March. The topic of the conference is "Comment grandir et se réaliser grâce au sport?" ("How to use sport as a means for personal development?"). The conference will be in French.

The International Academy of Sports Science and Technology (AISTS Académie Internationale des Sciences et Techniques du Sport) will deliver a presentation on one of its studies. Several athletes will also share their experience, including :

  • Elena Dementieva, tennis player, olympic singles champion in Pekin, won 16 WTA singles titles and was ranked 3 in WTA;
  • Marc Rosset, tennis player, olympic singles champion in Barcelona, won 14 ATP singles titles, including tournaments in Moscow and St-Petersburg;
  • Didier Defago, downhill skier, olympic champion in Vancouver, won the Streif in Kitzbuehel and Lauberhorn in Wengen;
  • Slava Bykov, ice hockey player, twice olympic champion, 5 world champion titles as a player and 2 world champion titles as a trainer;
  • Guy Carbonneau, ice hockey player, former captain of the Montreal Canadian, won the Stanley Cup three times;
  • Yvan Cournoyer, ice hockey player, former captain of the Montreal Canadian, won the Stanley Cup 10 times.

Sport for Life is a foundation registered under Swiss law and is based in Geneva. Its objectives are to educate and increase awareness of sport’s values, to increase its practice as well as develop and support promising young athletes.

The Neva Foundation was founded by the Timchenko family in 2008 in Geneva. Its objectives are to create stronger ties between Russia and Switzerland and to implement projects with a focus on cultural exchange, medical and scientifc research and humanitarian assistance.
