Green Sports Alliance Summit
The Green Sports Alliance Summit serves as a platform for the sports community to unite around sustainability, generating collaboration and the advancement of the green sports movement. Sports teams and venues are working hard to save money and improve their environmental impact, and they are bringing fans and sponsors with them. The summit brings together these professional and collegiate sports organisations with sports industry leaders and environmental and sustainability thought leaders — helping them create and share innovative solutions to improve the environmental performance of an entire industry.
The 2012 Summit in Seattle saw more than 500 attendees with representation from over 50 professional and collegiate sports teams and venues engaging in a unique and dynamic programme — learning from, sharing with and inspiring each other to find a better way to play. The three-day summit in 2013 takes place in the heart of the sports industry, in New York City.
Attendees will benefit from an informative and interactive programme. The 2013 summit will maximise peer-to-peer discussions during workshops, moderated roundtables, panels and presentations. The programme features best practices and the latest innovations in sports greening, presenting environmental solutions to challenges often faced in professional and collegiate sports.
