Onside Network 2nd Football Tournament

Onside Network's second football tournament, and the first in Monrovia, brings four clubs together on the football field. Two of the clubs will play a girls' match, and then the four boys' teams will compete. Afterwards there will be refreshments and the chance for players to get to know each other. The boys are aged 10 to 14, while the girls are aged 11 to 18.

The second Onside Football Network tournament begins with a parade from 12th Street Junction to Tubman High at 9am, followed by a short opening programme indoors, with informative and inspirational talks from guest speakers and network members.

The tournament begins with the girls match between Lions FC (Tubmanburg) and Junior FC (Jah Tondo Town) at 10am.

The boys' tournament begins with Millennium Stars FC (Monrovia) v Junior FC at 11am, followed by Christopolis Saints FC (Brewerville) v Lions FC. The winners of the two matches will play the final at around 2pm.

Afterwards, all 120 children have time to meet their friends from the other teams and get to know each other.

The event will finish around 4pm.

All are welcome to watch the matches and hear the speeches. Due to costs, refreshments will be for players and staff only.
