Radical (Ex)Change Transnational Meeting
Thanks to the support of the European Union, the International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS), through its Save the Dream initiative, launched the ‘Radical (Ex)Change’ in 2021.
The 2-year project is jointly designed with the International Olympic Truce Centre (IOTC) and involving other international partners such as The University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) and European Multisport Club Association (EMCA).
The project makes full use of the power of sport and physical activities as a tool to empower the young generations with the specific goal of preventing violent extremism and radicalization within youth themselves.
As part of the project, a handbook has been developed which includes guidance from professionals, grassroots associations, counselling and education boards, NGOs, and municipalities, working with youngsters at risk, on how to adapt their methodology to use sport as a tool for integration and counter-radicalisation.
Join Radical (Ex)Change for their transnational meeting to discuss and share knowledge on the development of the handbook “Integration of Youngsters at Risk of Radicalization through Sports”. The handbook aims to be an instrument to support municipalities, NGO's, local government associations, sport clubs, academic institutions and alike to transform their strategy on obtaining peace through inclusion and sports.
