Join the UNHCR Sports Coordination Unit as they host a webinar on the policy context, funding trends and key actors in resource mobilization for Sport for Refugees.

Date

Tue, 10/04/2022

When: 4 October, 3.00pm CET

Frustrated by lack of funding? Confused by the complexities that donors all seem to bring? We may be able to help you...

The UNHCR Sports Coordination Unit will host this webinar on the policy context, funding trends and key actors in resource mobilization for Sport for Refugees.

This interactive event will bring together the perspectives of different stakeholders in the resourcing ecosystem (Governmental development agencies, corporate foundations, development banks and other UN agencies), to explore everything from donors’ policies to the challenges they face and advice on mobilising resources in support of Sport for Refugees.

The webinar is produced by the co-conveners of the Sport for Refugees Coalition: UNHCR, the Olympic Refugee Foundation and the Scort Foundation. The Sport for Refugees Coalition brings together more than 80 members united by commitments made at the 2019 Global Refugee Forum, focused on increasing access to sport for refugees and displaced persons worldwide.

Responding to a priority need for Coalition members but also open to the wider sport community, this webinar is one in a series designed to promote learning and exchange in the dynamic and fast-evolving sport ecosystem, with a view to strengthening common approaches on sport for refugees and other displaced persons.
