The social value of sport in the city
The city of Antwerp and the Vrije Universiteit Brussels are organising this conference as part of Antwerp European Capital of Sports 2013.
The content
Focusing on "policy challenges and possibilities" the conference aims to cover:
- The latest developments in the social value of sports in an urban European context
- A general framework of sports and its social purposes
- An examination of good practice in Europe
During round-table discussions the participants will get the opportunity to go more into detail on these subjects and exchange ideas.

Representatives from Rotterdam SportPlus and Street Games East-Birmingham are also expected.
