The third edition of the UNOSDP YLC takes place in Macolin, Switzerland, bringing together 29 participants (18 young women, 11 young men) from Sub-Saharan Africa and the Palestinian Territories.

It is organised by the UN Office on Sport for Development and Peace (UNOSDP), in collaboration with Right To Play and the Swiss Federal Office of Sport (FOSPO), as well as several other partner organisations.

The YLC initiative was launched in January 2012 by the United Nations Office on Sport for Development and Peace (UNOSDP), in collaboration with the international NGO Right To Play. The objective of the YLC is to support deserving young community workers with basic education levels and limited resources, by providing them with access to theoretical and practical training on how sport can be better used to effect positive change in their communities.

The inaugural camp was held from 9?19 January 2012 in Doha, Qatar. The second camp took place from 18?28 June 2012 in Hennef, Germany. Partners include international sports organizations, football clubs and leagues, development agencies, NGOs, universities and private companies.
