Third Women’s Raise Your Game conference
As football’s equality and inclusion organisation, Kick It Out is encouraging more women to explore employment opportunities across all levels of football.
The event, which is free, sees one-to-one mentoring sessions, keynote speeches and a panel discussion.
Troy Townsend, Kick It Out’s education and development manager, said: “The demand to work in the football industry shows no sign of letting up and we’re here to open it up to as many people as possible. Those attending get to hear from experienced mentors who give up their time to offer valuable advice and contacts.
Our thanks go to Birmingham City for hosting us and it’s a pleasure to continue the Women’s Raise Your Game series after previous events in Manchester and London.”
The first ever Women’s Raise Your Game conference was held in October 2013 at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium, before last season’s event at West Ham’s Boleyn Ground.
As with previous conferences, attendees will be able to seek expert advice on potential career pathways into a variety of areas including coaching and management, grassroots and community, player services, media and communications, sports science, and football administration.
The wider Raise Your Game series has been running since 2011, and has led to a number of attendees securing full-time employment, work placements and qualifications within their chosen fields.
