Scottish Student Sport's webinar will look at the value of strategic collaboration, examples of the training delivery and the opportunities for SSS members to utilise resources.

Off the back of the highly popular ‘Engaging the Inactive’ webinar, we have another highly informative and engaging session coming to your screens!

For a number of years SSS have been working closely with Scottish Disability Sport (SDS). Much of this work has focussed on exploring ways of increasing participation in sport for students with disabilities, as well as ensuring that sport and tertiary education in Scotland adapts to be more inclusive.

Our next BiteSSSize Best Practice webinar looks at the value of strategic collaboration, examples of the training delivery and the opportunities for SSS members to utilise resources.

We are excited to welcome Alison Shaw and Andrew MacKenzie, Regional Development Managers at SDS, as panelists on the webinar. Both Alison and Andrew will draw on their past experiences and highlight the benefits of a successful partnership between the SDS and the Scottish Student Sport network.

The panel will also hear from Erin Swann, a swimmer who is currently a 2nd year Filmmaking and Screenwriting student at the University of the West of Scotland. Erin will be able to give a student-athlete perspective to inform our future working to embed disability sport in the student experience.

Celebrating disability sport is a big part of the work of SSS and this webinar follows on from one presented last year by the University of Stirling on their Disability Inclusion Forum.

The webinar will take place on Tuesday 9th February, 16:00 – 17:00.
