inFocus Consulting and Spirit of 2012 are excited to announce a brand new upcoming webinar 'How to ensure your events have a long-term impact' on 18th November 2pm GMT.  This free interactive webinar will focus on the principles of running a successful event that could lead to social change and the potential barriers that could occur. The webinar will also launch both the final report for Spirit of 2012 and inFocus’ Moment to Movement research, and an eLearning module that will help you apply the lessons from the report.

Working closely with three organisations – WOW Foundation, Springboard and Jo Cox Foundation – Spirit of 2012 and inFocus conducted the Moment to Movement research to explore how events can turn into longer term action. The research establishes a simple set of principles that make it more likely that single inspirational moments can turn into longer turn movements and considers the barriers that might prevent them from happening.

While the event is not exclusively sport-related the advice on running events is applicable in a sport for development setting and developed with input from a number of sport for development experts and organisations. The event is also being organised by two organisations, Spirit of 2012 and inFocus, who have significant experience in the sport for development sector supporting organisations to generate social outcomes through sport.
