Webinar: Sport and Mental Health & Psychosocial Support
When: 28 June, 2.00 pm CEST
Sport is increasingly recognized as a cross-cutting strategy for delivering a range of health and psychosocial interventions. However, facilitating access to safe sport within contexts of forced displacement spans numerous sectors including protection, education and health. This can result in a siloed and ad hoc approach which ultimately limits the effectiveness of efforts.
Join us for a panel discussion and workshop session to discuss the role of sport supporting mental health and psychosocial outcomes for young refugees and those affected by forced displacement.
The panel will include young people with lived experience, leading academics, practitioners and representatives from the sport sector. We will also be sharing the outputs of work by the Olympic Refuge Foundation Think Tank to map and collate existing practical guidance and tools on achieving MHPSS outcomes through sport. This work will be available to all participants.
Please note: This event will be in English and will be recorded. Please feel free to share this registration invite with others in your organization or network who would be interested to join.
