Webinar: Sport and refugee women

Join FARE Network as they host experts from across the refugee and sport fields to discuss the inclusion of refugee women in and through sport.

Date

Mon, 09/06/2021

When: 6 September,  4pm CET

Speakers at the seminar include Khalida Popal, the former captain of the Afghanistan women’s national team, who has fought tirelessly in recent weeks to evacuate over 100 athletes from her home country as the Taliban regained power.

The online event will give the opportunity to learn from leading experts, including Khalida, sports broadcaster and journalist Ben Jacobs, and Discover Football coach and activist Johanna Small, and to network and share experience with other national and international refugee and sport organisations.

The online Seminar, part of the EU-funded INSPIRES project, is open to NGOs and coaches working or interested in working with refugees and refugee women.

The INSPIRES European Stocktaking Seminar will take place online on 6 September at 4pm CET.
