“Welcome to Football”- Conference Week

The "Welcome to Football" initiative is hosting a week of workshops on different programmes aiming to integrate refugees and asylum seekers through football in Germany.

Throughout the past years, numerous professional and amateur clubs, leagues and NGOs have initiated programmes facilitating the participation of refugees in society through sports.

Against this backdrop, the programme “Welcome to Football“ invites you to come together and discuss: Which practices and approaches have been successful? Which challenges have yet to be met?

This invitation is directed to all actors invested or interested in working towards the participation of refugees in and beyond sports.

The online workshops “Willkommen im Fußball” meets “Football Welcomes” on October 6th, 2020 and “Creating spaces: Refugee girls and women in sports” on October 7th, 2020 will be held in English.
