White House Summit and Research Forum
The President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition and the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development organise the White House Summit and Research Forum on improved health and fitness for Americans with disabilities.
The purpose of the summit is to share best practices for implementation of the "I Can Do It, You Can Do It!" (ICDI) programme, and to encourage stakeholders to commit to disability inclusion in physical activity, nutrition and obesity programmes. The summit will be webcast live. A link to the webcast will be provided to those who are registered.
You can register here.
The research forum will be held on 7 October. Invited speakers at the forum will examine knowledge gaps and research opportunities in diet, exercise, motivation and outcomes, for the purpose of improving the health and quality of life of all children with disabilities.
