Anti-Doping and Medical Commission Members - Commonwealth Games Federation

The Commonwealth Games Federation is currently recruiting for members to join the Anti-Doping and Medical Commission. Deadline: 29 March 2021

The Commission is responsible for informing and advising the CGF Executive Board (EB) on all anti-doping and medical matters at the Commonwealth Games, Commonwealth Youth Games and other Commonwealth Sport activities. The Commission will set strategy and develop policy and will perform functions assigned to it in the key CGF documents.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Set Anti-Doping and Medical Strategy.
  • Develop Policy.
  • Review and update of the Commission Terms of Reference.
  • Provides Executive Board and key CGF Management with timely Anti-Doping and Medical advice which upholds key CGF principles whilst understanding to the views and needs of key stakeholders.
  • Supports the Chair and Executive Board in overseeing the implementation of anti-doping programmes and education programmes which are compliant with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Code and its accompanying International Standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with WADA, International Federations and other key anti-doping and medical stakeholders.
  • Represent the CGF at various international conferences, symposiums and industry gatherings as appropriate.
  • Fulfil the duties stipulated in the Commission Terms of Reference.

Nominations submitted in May/June 2020 need not resubmit their papers, but are requested to email Urvasi Naidoo using the email above to re-confirm their interest.

The deadline to nominate is 5:00pm (GMT) on 29 March 2021.
