Peace and Sport: Event Content Coordinator

Peace and Sport is looking for an Event Content Coordinator for their upcoming Peace and Sport International Forum and the Peace and Sport Awards.

Peace and Sport is an international, netural and independent organization based in Monaco, which promotes peace using the power of sport. Founded in 2007 by Modern Pentathlon Pluympic Medalist and World Champion Joel Bouzou, Peace and Sport enjoys the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco

Mission and activities

The selected person will support the Peace and Sport International Forum and the Peace and Sport awards. 

Peace and Sport Forum is an event that has established a platform for international cooperation working for the promotion of sport as a tool for sustainable peace. 

Launched in 2008, the Peace and Sport Awards is part of the Peace and Sport Forum, and it rewards initiatives and individuals who have significantly contributed to sustainable peace and social stability. 

The missions and activities of this internship are cross functional, under the supervision of the Event Manager.

Content

  • Collect and manage all the materials (photos, videos) to be used for the awards ceremony, forum sessions, workshops, roundtable
  • Support in the communication with speakers, moderators and master of ceremony (prepare materials, send invitations)
  • Support in the preparation of awards ceremony content (Keynote, script, nominee's presentation etc.)
  • Support in the preparation of the Forum content (Keynote, speakers' biographies)
  • Support in the preparation of minute-by-minute planning
  • Assistance in writing the final report

Awards Process

  • Research for potential candidates and encourage them to apply
  • Review the awards applications and archive all the content received
  • Prepare presentation of the shortlisted applicants
  • Communication with award nominees
  • Coordinate the jury selection 
  • Prepare presentation for the jury members and follow up the voting process
  • Send certificates to all nominees and winners
  • Monitoring and evaluation of the campaign
  • Prepare awards materials such as trophies, diplomas, envelops

Qualifications and experiences requires

Formal requirements

In order to be an eligible candidate, the jobholder needs to meet a set of formal requirements. These are: 

  • Master's degree in political science, intenrational cooperation, communications, or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communicatino in French, Spanish and English
  • Nationality of one of the EU Member States

Selection criteria

To qualify for this post, we have identified essential criteria in regard of professional experience/knowledge and personal characteristics/interpersonal skills

  • Good organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and designing communication tools
  • Attention to details, impeccable spelling
  • Prior experience in the humanitarian, NGO, development sector - ideal
  • Significant knowlege of the sporting world - idea, but not required

Starting date: July

Duration: 6 months

Full time (39 hours a week)

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the internship may require to work remotely three times a week

Salary: 700 euros per month + travel expenses (max 60 euros per month)

Place: Based in Monaco
