The Program Manager position is responsible for the programmatic design and implementation of L.A.C.E.S. new strategic plan. The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing L.A.C.E.S. current projects in Liberia and the United States.

Specific responsibilities:
1. Programmes

  • Develop and oversee the expansion of L.A.C.E.S. international programmes including conducting assessments, establishing partnerships and new programme design
  • Research and write a new sports-based leadership curriculum to be implemented in L.A.C.E.S Liberia project
  • Develop and oversee the expansion of L.A.C.E.S. church partnership and conduct trainings with said partners
  • Monitor and evaluate L.A.C.E.S. programme, including international travel and site visits
  • Implement L.A.C.E.S. refugee programme activities locally and manage participating volunteers
  • Conduct routine monitoring of programme budgets and assist with yearly budgeting

2. Other

  • Assist with marketing such as social media, blog posts and monthly newsletters as necessary
  • Manage L.A.C.E.S inventory and solicit gift-in-kind donations
  • Participate in L.A.C.E.S. annual fundraising events and provide logistical support as needed
  • Attend networking events and conferences on behalf of L.A.C.E.S.
  • Any other tasks given by the Executive Director

Qualifications and requirements


L.A.C.E.S. is seeking a passionate Christian with experience in sports for development looking to make a significant impact in a small organisation. The Program Manager must have the ability to think strategically and take all aspects of the work into consideration. This position requires a unique person with drive, willingness to do what needs to get done, and a heart for servant leadership and mentoring. In addition, L.A.C.E.S. is looking for someone with the following qualifications and requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with three years of work experience in international development required; Experience in sports for development preferred
  • Ability to conduct trainings and presentations in front of large groups of people, including the ability to manage church partnerships effectively
  • Previous sports curriculum writing experience preferred
  • Experience researching diverse funding opportunities and writing winning grant proposals
  • Willingness to travel internationally and domestically up to 20% of the time, up to two weeks at a time
  • Previous finance/budgeting experience preferred
  • Knowledge on how to utilise social media to engage donors, partners, volunteers and the general public
  • Strong writing skills a plus
