Soccer in the Streets is hiring a Staff Coach

General description

Coaches will be responsible for teaching skills according to programme curriculum. Over the course of the programme, coaches should strive to develop a relationship with the group of children at the location and encourage them through lessons taught and by their own good example. Coaches are selected based on experience working with or identification with target populations and have demonstrable cultural compatibility with youth.

Major duties

• Conduct introductory clinic sessions with 10-20 children, using manual provided as a guideline
• Interact with supervisory staff, especially regarding disciplinary matters
• Develop rapport with children and their parents
• Report attendance
• Attend all coach trainings and meetings

Qualifications

• Soccer coaching experience
• Ability to relate to people from different backgrounds and motivate young people
• Excellent communications skills
• Prefer an NSCAA or USSF Coaching license
• Reliable transportation
• Successfully pass criminal background check
