StreetGames is seeking an Apprenticeship Mentor, Apprenticeship Tutor and Training Academy Tutor. Deadline: 21 August 2017

Apprenticeship Mentor

£20,168 - £22,478 part time (0.4FTE) fixed term (2 years)

StreetGames Training Academy will be delivering the new community sport Trailblazer Apprenticeships from autumn 2017. As part of our additional wrap around service we are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and proactive individual who has the ability to engage, inspire, motivate and support young people. The mentor will aim to provide motivation, increase confidence and provide role models, encouraging networking between apprentices with a goal of increasing retention. The Apprenticeship Mentor will work closely with the Apprenticeship Tutor to ensure that each apprentice is fully supported through their on and off the job training.

The successful candidate will have excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to actively listen, question effectively and use appropriate assertiveness. They will also have experience of mentoring young people offering vocational/pastoral support ideally in an educational setting.

Apprenticeship Tutor

£29,865-£30,575 part time (0.4FTE) fixed term (two years)

The Apprenticeship Tutor will be responsible for the delivery of high quality teaching, learning and assessment of the training delivered as part of the Apprenticeship programme. The Apprenticeship Tutor will work closely with the Apprenticeship Mentor to ensure that each apprentice is fully supported throughout their training.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of delivering youth or community sports and physical activity in disadvantaged communities and experience of delivering training in a rage of contexts ideally on Traineeship/Apprenticeship programmes.

Training Academy Tutor

£80 for three hour workshop delivery or £160 for full day course delivery (zero hour contract)

The role of the Training Academy Tutor is to deliver a range of the StreetGames Training Academy’s accredited & non-accredited workshops and qualifications. Tutors will be required to deliver in a range of classroom and sporting settings within disadvantaged communities, and to learners with a range of previous educational experiences. Training Academy Tutors will tailor delivery to the individual needs of each group of learners, using their knowledge of teaching, coaching & learning styles to create an environment which removes potential barriers to learning.
