Cheshire Homes works to empower persons with disability to lead independent lives of their choice, participating fully in the economic and social life of their country.

The Swaziland Wheelchair Basketball Project (SWBP) is the first to develop disabled sports in the country. The project’s main focus is to improve lives of people with disability by raising awareness and promote positive understanding of disability in Swaziland. The projects will achieve its main goal through sport.

The SWBP requires a qualified and experienced individual to establish the organisational structure and national strategies from which the project and its partners can work from. This position will help connect Cheshire Homes to international disability sports partners and donors to ensure growth and sustainability of the project.

This position is funded by the Australian Government as part of the Australian Volunteers for International Development (AVID) program. Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents or New Zealand citizens resident in Australia.
