Gymnastics is taking its first steps in the Pacific island nation of Fiji, with a fun and friendly format designed to lure the locals.
Gymnastics might not yet be in every village but it has already succeeded in finding and developing a Fijian face of the sport.
In this AustraliaPlus photo feature, we join Gymnastics Federation of Fiji’s Sport Development Officer Mela Lutunauca and aerobic gymnastics expert Jodi Sleaford as they conduct an AeroGym Clinic on Fiji’s Pacific Coast. We hear why they believe gymnastics and Fiji are the perfect fit and we trace Mela’s journey from shy rookie to leading light of the sport.
