On 22 June, students from St. Lawrence Old Boys Association made history.

Students in Kolkata, 2,152 in total, gathered on the field to break the world record of the most paper planes thrown simultaneously. The activity served as a welcome to former Olympian Roald Bradstock visiting the school, as well as an important message about Olympic values. The school principal expressed their aim to “mix sports, culture and peace together” to raise global awareness about using sport as a tool for peace.

This video from Xtratime.in features an interview with Bradstock, also known as “Olympic Picasso” who shared this about his visit: “It’s so in sync with what I’m working on with sport, with art, with competition, and also bringing a platform for peace.”
