The campaign, funded by the National Lottery and developed by Sport England, maintains a powerful message highlighting women’s strength. Their video features narration by Maya Angelou, reciting her poem “Phenomenal Woman” to a montage of real, resilient women in action. The overall message to women everywhere is simple: embrace activity, just as you are.

With the hashtag #ThisGirlCan, women and girls are encouraged to share their authentic experience of sport on social media. The campaign has also recently launched a Snapchat filter to encourage women to share photos.
