We share the recording and chat text from the sportanddev and UNHCR webinar on sport and refugees on the International Day of Peace.

How can sport be best used to protect and ensure the rights of refugees? What are sport’s limitations and what risks do we need to avoid? What is the future of the movement around sport and refugees?

A sportanddev and UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, webinar on 21 September, International Day of Peace, saw panellists answer these questions and more. The speakers shared practical examples from their experience, encouraged debate and future collaboration. Attended by over 200 people from different backgrounds, the event had a healthy interaction between the attendees and panellists.
