Paul Otieno is a sport and development expert, consultant and strategist, with vast experience in organisational leadership and development.
Originally from Kenya, Paul is a sport and development expert, consultant and strategist, with vast experience in organisational leadership and development. Since 2006, Paul worked across East and Central Africa (Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya) with sport and development organisations at a senior managerial level. He has also facilitated trainings and conducted consultancy work in Somalia, Burundi and most of Southern African countries.
Paul has undertaken work duties with multiple sport and development agencies and successfully contributed to strategic advisory boards and working groups, such us the Kicking AIDS Out advisory board, the East Africa Community Coach Education System working group and the East Africa Cup organising committee. He entered into the sport and development sector following a successful career in soccer coaching, whereby he coached high level soccer in Kenya and Tanzania for multiple years.
Paul is also a co-founder and strategy advisor for the Angaza Sports and Development Centre in Kenya. He is currently completing an MA in peacebuilding at Coventry University in the UK.
