Dr. Sarah Hillyer has supported SPD in over 75 countries. Currently executive director of the UT Center for Sport, Peace, and Society and director of Sport 4 Peace.
Dr. Sarah Hillyer serves as the executive director of the Center for Sport, Peace and Society at the University of Tennessee and is the director of Sport 4 Peace, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the creative use of sport to promote cross-cultural understanding and empowerment. Over the past 20+ years, Sarah has served alongside local organisations to support sport for peace and development projects in more than 75 countries.
In 2011, Sarah served as the Generations For Peace, HRH King Abdullah II, post-doctoral fellow at Georgetown University where she completed a two-year mapping project titled: “Sport and Peacebuilding: Mapping the Field.”
