A global authority on women’s sport, journalist Sarah Murray has built a career covering stories about empowerment realised through physical activity. She has interviewed hundreds of celebrities who have used sports to change their lives, including Payton Manning, Sheryl Crow, Annika Sorenstam, Freddy Adu, Candace Parker, Christiane Amanpour and Holly Hunter. Murray has ghostwritten for Geena Davis, Billie Jean King and Mia Hamm.
Sarah Murray joined Women Win in 2009 as communications director and now moves into the role of learn director, overseeing Women Win’s capacity development programmes and tools. Sarah relocated to Amsterdam in June 2011. Prior to joining Women Win, Sarah spent ten years as the web producer for the Women’s Sports Foundation in the United States. Her editorial leadership and marketing strategies helped the organisation secure the top Google result for “women’s sports.” Additionally, Sarah authored the GoGirlGo! project - a curriculum aimed at helping girls navigate social pressures through sport, which won the Gold National Health Information Award.
