I was born in the Liberian City of Tubmanburg on May 22 1970 and graduated from the College of West Africa in Monrovia in 1987 and went to the Ghana Institute of Journalism from 1990-92 thanks to the civil war in Liberia as a refugee where I stay for 8 years in Ghana as a Refugee. I am the founder of Sports for the development of the Underprivileged with emphasis on improving the lives of young and destitute kids coming from war especially in Liberia. I have attended numerous sports development conferences in Europe.
Tim van Dooren
With Master Degrees in Marketing and Entrepreneurship and a personal interest in sport and development , I joined SCORE in 2009. After completing my Master thesis on the value of Social Entrepreneurship, I worked with social enterprises in Ghana and the Netherlands before I decided to move to South Africa. I'm working in the business development department, coordinating income-generating activities for SCORE with a strong focus on the SCORE projects that are linked to the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Grassroot Soccer uses the power of football to educate, inspire and empower young people to live healthy and productive lives and fight HIV/AIDS. GRS was founded in 2002 by four professional football players to address the pressing need for effective youth-focused HIV-prevention education in Africa and has established itself as the global leader in sport for development.
