Netball Australia is looking for a Senior International Development Program Manager. Deadline: 31 December 2020.

We are seeking a Senior International Development Program Manager to lead Netball Australia’s relationship and vital programs with DFAT including overseeing the management of the full portfolio of the Pacific Sport for Development programs.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

Portfolio Leadership of all projects/programs under management: 

  • Strategic engagement with DFAT/GHD, Pacific Nations, Netball Associations and implementation partners,
  • Program management including design, evaluation, grant submissions, budget management, impact measurement and quality review of projects/programs
  • Ensure portfolio is managed to the highest level, establishing a platform for enhanced engagement with key Stakeholders, Partner agencies, Government, Country representatives and Netball Australia
  • Drive Netball Australia’s Grant process including prospecting, planning, submission, administration & reporting
  • Collaboration with key internal stakeholders including Community Development, Media, Marketing, Legal and Finance to coordinate engagement for specialist support
  • Full program budget management including financial proposals, tracking and acquittal processes
  • Ensure portfolio is fully compliant with policies concerning Safeguarding, Anti-Terrorism, Fraud and Environmental protection as applicable

Relationships:

  • Trusted relationships are held with relevant partners, pacific regional offices, embassy, internal teams, and technical support across the programs

Leadership:

  • This role will be responsible for a direct report and will need to ensure guidance, coaching and cultural accountability aligned to the Netball Trademark behaviours

Quality and Timely Reporting:

  • Regular field and desk-based monitoring of field programs as well as quarterly narrative and financial reporting
  • Timely and quality submission of all internal and external reporting relevant to the portfolio

Cross functional engagement to support Netball Australia’s strategic priorities:

  • The role will be required to build collaborative relationships and engage and support several internal and external stakeholders to support NAs evolution as a Social Impact Business with growth plans into key emerging markets by 2022

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Community Development, International Relations/International Development, Sport or a relevant technical field/experience
  • Program/Portfolio grant management experience, with skills in managing complex grants, risk management, quality assurance, stakeholder management and reporting.
  • Process oriented and attention to detail, with a strong focus on adherence to sport governance
  • Experience in training, resource development and capacity building
  • Experience in working in the Pacific is desirable
  • Knowledge of DFAT and the requirements of the Sport for Development Program is helpful

This role is a permanent position operating in a full-time capacity and will be based at our head office at Netball Australia however we have a flexible working policy that can be discussed.
