Play it Forward

Play it Forward

Play it Forward harnesses the power of sport to engage children and young people in Zambia in activities focused on education, life skills and health & wellbeing. Our support, on and off the pitch, ensures that young people emerge from our programmes with new skills to succeed in school, the workforce and life.

Play it Forward inspires and empowers a whole new generation of young people to take control of their lives. We have a philosophy that drives the holistic development of aspiring young players to create conscientious individuals who become impactful leaders and ultimately give back to their communities. This is achieved through our three impact areas: education, health & wellbeing and employment.

We have been supporting rural community schools in Southern Zambia since 2013. The water, sanitation, school and football projects that we have funded have improved the health, education and livelihood prospects of children and families living incredibly tough lives. We are registered as both an NGO in Zambia and a charity in the UK.

Most of our work is in remote, rural regions in the Southern Province of Zambia. These are areas that suffer from especially high levels of poverty and low levels of educational achievement - isolated from governmental services, they can often be overlooked.
