Our organization arises from a university-based project launched at Universidad de Guanajuato in Guanajuato, Mexico. After realizing that an overwhelming majority of SDP organizations, projects, and initiatives focus on traditionally suffering/disadvantaged populations, our organization tries to develop meaningful SDP projects and initiatives that tackle some pressing issues/problems that university students face, such as drop-out, stress leading to suicide, and gender violence and imbalances. Our organization is named after the first resulting sporting activity that originated at Universidad de Guanajuato. It is important to note that our methodology is based on three components: teaching/learning, research, and practical sport (trying to adhere to a Sport-for-All philosophy). Our organization is proud to move forward a glocalized experience that arises from the intertwining of Mexican (domestic) legislation and the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Our organization is based at the Guanajuato Campus of Universidad de Guanajuato. More specific, it finds its origins and direction at the Departament of Political and Government Studies. Our website was recently launched (October 29, 2020) and soon we expect to be avalilable on social networks. Our organization is located in the Bajio Region in Central-North Mexico in the state capital of Guanajuato, in a small city (approximately 200 000 inhabitants).
