Chess is an emerging popular game for all ages, race and sex in Zambia but over the years very little has been done in terms of teaching, developing and promoting chess in schools and vulnerable children.

The Zambian Chess Foundation will embrace the following outlined activities towards achieving its general objectives.
i) To teach, develop and promote chess in schools and among vulnerable children in the communities.
ii) Organise matches, tournaments, competitions, chess camps and seminars for the promotion of the game of chess.
iii) Explore and exploit the potential of young ones to participate in international events and other local activities in general
