Irene Kamberidou (BA, MA, Phd) is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the National and Kapodistrian University (NKUA) of Athens, the School of Physical Education and Sport Science where she established the first Gender Issues and Sports course in 2006, taught every semester to this day. She also prepared the first Gender & Sport chapter for Fylopedia e-encyclopedia of the NKUA's Gender Equality Center. Irene teaches Principles of Sociology (2003-2020), Gender issues and Sport (2006-2020) and the graduate course Sport Sociology (2010-2020). She received her BA and MA from Emmanuel College and Boston College respectively, Boston, Massachusetts, USA and her PhD from the Sociology Department of the Panteios University of Social and Political Sciences in Athens, Greece. She was the Greek representative of the International Association of Physical Education and Sport for Girls and Women (IAPESGW) from 2009-2016. Irene is a member of the Panhellenic Union for the Promotion of Women in Sports (PEPGAS) as well as a member of the Executive Committee of the ECWT- European Centre for Women and Technology. Dr. Kamberidou, with active participation in European and internatinal conferences, including publications, has also contributed as a gender expert in many of the European Commission’s high-level conferences, projects and workshops addressing exclusionary practices.
Nikola Milinkovic has extensive experience with teaching mental skills to High Performance Juniors, ATP and WTA players in both classroom and applied on court settings. Nikola spent last ten years leading the mental toughness programs in high performance academies in both Florida, currently in Connecticut and in the Netherlands. Nikola played college tennis, is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant and a coach through the United States Professional Tennis Association.
In the past I was working in projects of social integration that were targeting, first of all, Roma children and their families. I had the opportunity to make assessments in Montenegro where I was then working in projects targeting Roma IDPs coming from Kosovo. I was then working in Serbia in projects of emergency, projects of decentralized cooperation, projects targeting Roma people, local and economic development etc. In Serbia I was working as country coordinator and I was involved in all the project cycle, from the assessment to the implementation. I was working, as consultant, in public local offices. I have the capacity to organize, to work in a team and to work under pressure respecting deadlines.
Currently working as a lawyer in India. I was most recently associated with the Sports Law team of a prominent law firm in Singapore. Selected in the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Young Ambassadors Programme 2016-17 and 2017-18. Authored a book entitled 'Sports Law' (published by Universal Publishers) and contributed to the Handbook on Sports Law (published by Satyam Law International). I love to write and put my skills to good use for the development of sport.

PhD. Research Fellow in Sport for Development at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences Research interest: Sport Policy and Sport for Development and Peace. My current research project investigates the significance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and sport in Ghana. The project is entitled: Development through Sport in Ghana: Towards Sport Policy Coherence for Development.
Born and grew up in Lagos Nigeria in a family of 3 siblings. Got involved with sport for development at the age of 16 with Search & Groom Youth for Development Centre in Lagos Nigeria. Moved on to youth leadership camp, hosted by the United Nations Office on Sport for Development and Peace in Germany, currently on a sport studies pathway at the University of Worcester.
Born in Zimbabwe and bred in Cape Town, South Africa, my passion, expertise and experience is in sport for development and peace. I currently operate as a specialist consultant in this sector, working for the international platform on sport and development as well as a range of other influential local and international actors.
