Katharina is a Sport Scientist and worked for the German Paralympic Sport Federation, Section of Lower-Saxony from 2010 - 2015. Since April 2015 she joined the UNESCO Chair "Transforming the Lives of People with Disabilities, their Families and Communities through Physical Education, Sport, Recreation and Fitness" at the Institute of Technology in Tralee, Ireland.
Datchanamoorthy a name that has left imprints in the books of Indian Human Rights Education; today is an iconic leader who has raised eyebrows in India with his visionary outlook for the state. Known for his crusading efforts demanding the compulsory Human Rights Education in the country, DatchanaMoorthy is a man on a fanatic mission to make India a model nation to the world. A great idealist wrote that people are born with equal rights. Then thousands of people cynically and sagaciously criticized it. Some diligently tried to make it real. It’s a paradox, but both the second ones - with their determined belief, and those who were unsparingly criticizing contributed that the idea, even slowly, but started to get formed in the minds of people and nations. As a Human Rights Defender, I believe that people’s equality before the law is the most important principal; because I know that it’s the basis of jurisprudence. As a practical person, I also know that Human Rights Education is needed to develop peace and self security. As a realist, I have no doubt that on a way of implementing these human rights in reality life. But as an optimist I believe that “the drop taps the stone”. And finally as a humanist, I completely agree with some other idealist

I'm very passionate about sports especially for development of young people through sport in all aspects! Working with children and adolescents gives me a better understanding in their individual needs and belief and value system. And vice versa they encourage me to reflect about myself.
I am an experienced Welfare Officer and served in UNAMID Staff Counselling and Welfare Section from June 2011 to August 2014. My duties and responsibilities included conducting various welfare programs aimed at improving the quality of life of UNMID staff , such as, lip-sync night, bingo night, happy hour, movie might, UNAMID talent show, Mr. & Ms. UNAMID, Valentine's day, New Year's Eve celebrations. I hold Personal Training and Master Fitness Trainer Certificates from the European Institute of Fitness which includes physiology, 1:1 training, weight management, rehab and business. I bring to my work international qualifications in personal fitness training, managing three gyms (Male, Ladies and VIP) conducting yoga sessions, fitness sessions, swiss ball exercises, etc. for UN personnel at the mission.
