I am originally from Trinidad and Tobago. I am currently an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher to adults and I also tutor children in Miami. Prior to that, I taught English in Daejeon, South Korea to children and teenagers. I have always loved sport, particularly football (soccer) so becoming involved with an organisation like Malalo, which uses sport to get youth off the streets, was an incredible opportunity for me. As an ESL teacher with an academic background in International Relations, I always try to incorporate global themes wherever possible in my classes.

In the past I was working in projects of social integration that were targeting, first of all, Roma children and their families. I had the opportunity to make assessments in Montenegro where I was then working in projects targeting Roma IDPs coming from Kosovo. I was then working in Serbia in projects of emergency, projects of decentralized cooperation, projects targeting Roma people, local and economic development etc. In Serbia I was working as country coordinator and I was involved in all the project cycle, from the assessment to the implementation. I was working, as consultant, in public local offices. I have the capacity to organize, to work in a team and to work under pressure respecting deadlines.
