As a collegiate soccer player, Katie made the most of her 4 years by participating in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and made time to study abroad. Upon graduation, she spent a year volunteering for AmeriCorps before obtaining my Masters of Education in Athletic Counseling. During this time she also interned for Project Adventure, where she began using challenge courses and experiential education to encourage growth and development in youth. As an Academic Coach for Play It Smart, she used the sport of football to teach life skills to inner city youth. Currently as the Coordinator of Student-Athlete Development at the University of Oregon she is able to incorporate teaching life skills into the world of collegiate athletics.
