Born upstate. Rode horses and snowboards growing up. Colorado and France for college. Mauritania and Peru with the Peace Corps. Now making WAVES. (WAVES for Development & what I value: W-ater, A-dventure, V-oluntourism, E-ducation, S-ustainability). I have over four years experience living and working in Peru developing service tourism initiatives in rural coastal communities, tropical mountains and the Amazon jungle. As a Peace Corps volunteer I researched, wrote and presented feasibility plans on ‘coffee tourism’ and ‘adventure conservation’ voluntourism initiatives. In 2007 we founded an adventure-based, not-for-profit association in Peru called WAVES for Development. I earned an M.S. in Organizational Management from the School for International Training.
We believe surf travel should benefit the people and communities where it happens.
