Born in Scotland, I am now based in Madrid, Spain, where I have been living for 22 years. I hold an MA (Hons.) in politics from Glasgow University.
I have been involved in disability sport for some 15 years, including working for the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) and the European Paralympic Committee.
Since 2006 I have been co-ordinating a major development project in futsal (five-a-side football) for visually impaired players in Europe. The project is run by IBSA thanks to funding from UEFA.
I am a translator and interpreter (English and Spanish) specialising in disability and sport.
