Sport plays an important role in my life. Moving and improving myself gives me energy. I attended the Nyenrode Sports Leadership Program to learn how to improve the international playing field of athletes and make this more sustainable. In 2016 I was volunteering as a NOC / NPC assistent at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. I went to Namibia for a research about how to build a sustainable sports ecosystem for athletes with a handicap.
I would love to use the international experience and insights to create a sustainable and performance driven environment for sports communities. Respo International gives me that environment to help strengthen the personal and social position of people with a handicap in developing countries by sports and movement programs. At Respo International I'm responsible for the communication channels.
Because of my hard of hearing, my other senses are sensitive. I have an eye for detail, find my way in new adventures quickly and convert opportunities in action. I love horse back riding, fencing and running (and sometimes a Modern Pentathlon).
